A. Who To Call the Day Before the Meeting

Call the following people and remind them of their roles, and make sure they know how to do their roles:

  1. All Evaluators
    1. Get information from the Evaluators for their introductions.
    2. Write down names of Speakers and their Evaluators below.
  1. Invocation/Timer
  2. Grammarian/Ah Counter
  3. Word of the Day/Vote Counter

B. During the Meeting – Chief Evaluator’s Role

  1. Explain role of Chief Evaluator
  2. Explain role of Evaluators and the time limit for their evaluations which is 2-3 minutes.

Introduce Evaluators:

Example: John Smith Evaluating Joe Brown on his speech #2 "Speak in Earnest"

  1. ________________ Evaluating ____________________on his/her speech #__
  2. "_____________________________________________"

  3. _________________Evaluating ____________________on his/her speech #__
  4. "_____________________________________________"

  5. _________________Evaluating ____________________on his/her speech #__

  1. Call for the time of evaluations –"Mister/Madam Time Keeper, were all the evaluators within time?"
  2. Call for the vote of "Best Evaluator" and restate just the names of the Evaluators who were within time.

  4. Call for Reports, and explain each role:
    1. Timer - ________________________________
    2. Grammarian/Ah Counter -_______________
  1. Use the Word of the Day in a sentence.
  2. Give your Evaluation of the Meeting.
  3. Return control of meeting to the Toastmaster.
